Alembic is a simple, distraction-free text editor interface; primarily intended for curating short micro-essays shareable as aesthetic images.

philosophy

Alembics were alchemical distillation vessels. This app works the same way: refine your thoughts through constraint.

But constraint doesn't mean serious. Want to compress an insight? Make a shitpost? Share a quote? The tool doesn't care. Low-friction text → aesthetic image, that's it.

roadmap

v0.n (current): Editor, themes, drafts (localstorage), export. No accounts, no social features.

v1: User accounts, a platform for sharing alembics, exploring others' work by conceptual similarity instead of chronological feeds. Digital garden meets semantic search. Paid tier for power users with more design options.
